THRSHLD™ is a venue-based social and dating service designed to help people make real-world connections with others at the same supported location. This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information we may collect, how we use and disclose that information, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information

We may collect information you provide when creating or managing an account, such as your name, email address, age or date-of-birth information, profile details, preferences, photos, and other information you choose to provide.

Location and venue information

Because THRSHLD is built around supported venues, the app may process location information to determine whether you are at or near a supported venue, enable venue-based functionality, maintain venue sessions, and help protect the integrity of the experience.

Photos and identity-verification information

THRSHLD may process profile photos, camera captures, liveness-check results, and face-comparison results to verify that an account is being used by a real person and that submitted profile photos correspond to that user. Verification services may involve third-party infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition.

Communications and activity

We may process information related to your use of THRSHLD, including likes, passes, matches, messages, reports, blocks, support requests, and other interactions needed to provide and protect the service.

Device and technical information

We may receive technical information such as device type, operating-system information, app version, IP address, diagnostic information, crash information, and security-related signals. Firebase and related infrastructure may process certain technical data as part of operating the service.

How We Use Information

• Provide and operate THRSHLD and its venue-based features.
• Create, maintain, and secure user accounts.
• Determine venue eligibility and support venue-bound matchmaking.
• Perform identity, liveness, and photo-verification checks.
• Enable matching, messaging, reporting, blocking, and support features.
• Detect abuse, fraud, policy violations, and security threats.
• Diagnose technical problems and improve reliability and user experience.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms and safety rules.

How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate THRSHLD, such as cloud-hosting, database, analytics, security, communications, and identity-verification providers. Depending on the feature, this may include Google Firebase and Amazon Web Services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not state that information is sold for money unless and until THRSHLD actually engages in such a practice. If our practices materially change, this policy will be updated.

Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining security and safety records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type and operational need.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information through the account-deletion functionality provided in the app or by contacting THRSHLD Support where applicable. Some information may be retained when required or permitted by law, for fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

Your Choices

You may be able to edit profile information, change permissions through your device settings, block or report other users, and request account deletion. Disabling location, camera, or other required permissions may prevent certain THRSHLD features from functioning.

Age Requirement

THRSHLD is intended only for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children under 18 to use the service.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user information. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should also take reasonable steps to protect their credentials and devices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as THRSHLD evolves. We will post the updated policy at this location and revise the effective date when changes are made.
